The Vanguard Club Flying Junior, "CFJ", is a tough, light, agile performer. Especially popular on lakes and rivers, the CFJ tacks and accelerates quickly, making the best use of restricted sailing areas. It is also well suited to handle open water, waves, and big breezes. Its large comfortable buoyancy tanks ensure that the CFJ is both self-rescuing and safe. With a tough non-tapered mast, external halyards, and a simple layout, the CFJ is suitable for Optimist sailors and college champions alike.

Plexus inside - Plexus is a new bonding material used exclusively by LaserPerformance to bond the hull to the deck at both the rails, floor flanges and all other structural areas on the Club 420. The bonding material is stronger and significantly more elastic than traditional bonding materials. It increases the durability of the entire boat, especially the critical hull deck joint.
